LOCKING LEVER, STEERING COLUMN TILT POSITION, LH ORIENTATION, ORIGINAL F2DZ-3D653-A
This locking lever is designed to lock the tilt wheel into the proper place that the driver requires. This lever is called out by Ford as a LH side / orientation but when looking at the factory illustrations this unit looks more like a inner locking lever. Ford used two different part numbers for the LH and RH levers. This unit features the three cutouts for position as well as the hole for proper installation.
Note:
See M-3B661-100 for RH side / orientation or for what NPD would call the outer locking lever.
Restorations Note:
Ford called these levers RH and LH side but this is the opposite of what we know. They call these out by looking at the illustrations not by driver / passenger side. This is why NPD looks at them like a inner and outer.
