This unit is made from the original ford mold that made them for the assembly line. These units are usually broken from the stress at the base of the hook. These units are designed to fit and function like original. They feature the correct surface grain texture like originals.

A much needed product as these tend to get fractured under the console lid. Exact replacement indeed.

Nice look and fit. I recommend reinforcing the latch area by contact cementing a thin piece of flat 1/16th inch aluminum to increase rigidity of this high stress area. Nearly every original piece that I've seen has been cracked. The metal will vastly improve it's strength and durability. Note that this side is hidden underneath the console pad.
