YES I would recommend this product.
The finish on the springs is in no way intended to be “permanent”, it’s just a stop-gap for protection, because every restoration has a different end-goal when it comes to final finish, and it’s virtually impossible to protect these heavy springs from cosmetic damage in UPS or FedEx. They get tossed around at the distribution points.
Originally, from Ford when the cars were assembled, springs were UN-FINISHED… So everyone who’s doing a concours restoration strips the springs 100% bare and typically applies a rust-preventative product like Boeshield. This is why Eaton doesn’t waste a bunch of time and money on finishing and packaging, because in most restoration it’s all getting stripped-off regardless.
Bottom-line, Eaton springs are made from Ford blueprints, U.S. made, and delivered like Ford delivered them, same process as Ford. The job of making them “pretty” depends on what the focus of your restoration or build is, and cannot be anticipated.
We’re
sorry you were disappointed.
