Here's the scoop...the AP-946 (Black Lacquer) is for: Dashboard, Doors, Rear Interior Quarter Trim Panels, Console Trim Plates and Windshield Dash Trim. The color is a deep, rich black....the VP-946 (Flexible) is for: Instrument Cluster Bezel, Glove Box Door, Air Conditioner Bezel (original), Center Console Base/Body, and Package Tray (Rear Trim Panel). The color is Charcoal, although it is listed as a semi-gloss black. If you follow my lead, the color combination between these two paints will be eclectic to the eye and very appealing. I have not seen the blue, reds etc., but if the paint combination is the same as the black, you will be stoked with the results; Ford never intended for the interior color to me monotone

Excellent coverage. Just follow the directions and you can't go wrong. The pain flows very well, and after several light coats you are left with an excellent finish.

Spray nozzles clog and sputter and coat surface unevenly. Next time I will buy in quart form and use my own gun.

I used this product on my dash and interior doors. Prepped correctly, light coats but it scratches easily once cured. It has a beautiful finish, just unhappy with the durability. Could I use a 2h urethane satin clear over this to make it more durable? Would there be compatibility issues between lacquer and urethane?

Love the color and it lays out nice. However, it's definitely a gloss, not semi gloss. I think the flexible paints have a much better sheen. I will use, but will have to do a light coat of the flexible paints to make it look correct.

Great color match, reasonably durable, overall a good paint. The nozzles don’t spray as well as most rattle cans but they got the job done

Horrible product. I bought this product to ensure the right satin sheen, but this was more of a semi-gloss to gloss finish. Way too shiny. On top of that, the can splattered everywhere and left a horrible finish. Will have to sand everything back down and refinish my dash again…using a different product.

This paint looks great. The coverage is less than expected, it will definitely take 2-3 coats to get it looking great. I had to order more paint to finish the job. My only real complaint is the small paint spatters start happening after a few seconds of spraying. I wound up wiping the nozzle frequently to fix this.

Paint goes on very thin on the first coat. It took 3 coats to get a good finish. Paint spray nozzle tended to drip, so I wiped it frequently. Overall good results though.
