Misrepresented on NPD website description-only for use on vinyl and plastic. Directly from the can: "Color Coat(tm) is a specialy elastomeric coating formulated to restore or change the color of most vinyl surfaces, flexible and rigid plastics, carpet and velour. Color Coast is not a dye, but a fade resistant flexible and permanent coating."

This is a great product. I've used it on hard plastic (sun visor bracket) as well as metal (interior side of door) and it performed great. Use a respirator and apply several light coats rather than one heavy coat and you'll love the results.

The light ivy gold color was spot on for 65 Falcon interior. The best I've found. I painted two kick panels and two armrests with one can and it looks great. The directions require a couple other SEM products which makes this application a little on the expensive side but if it is durable, it will be well worth it. Time will tell
