I ordered this thinking it might replace the insulator between the ammeter, fuel gauge pins and the metal housing which is some sort of phenolic type piece. I couldn't figure out how or where this was supposed to replace that. The holes were spaced right for the two pins. My 1969 instrument panel had nothing on it that looked anything like this. I ended up cutting and modifying this so it would provide a flat insulator as needed to protect the pin nuts from contacting the metal housing and creating an electrical short when they were tightened down.
