Mirror was installed this week by a Certified GM tech and when installing the mirror to the car, the whole backing came apart. The Tech had to fix the mirror for installation. Yes, the Map light works, however the mirror was cheaply made for the cost of the item and shipping. Disappointed to say the least. I cannot recommend this item due to cost, cheaply made and the cost to have it installed. Not a good after market part for my Chevelle SS convertible.
