I just received one of the new and improved fender aprons today and went and test fit it and you will not believe how well it fits. This is the first time we have gotten a reproduction part and without any trimming, hammering or grinding it fit and even the holes lined up.

I didn't have to trim or adjust anything on this panel. I simple bolted it down where the strut tower brace bolts go and clamped the rest of it down. Fit like a glove. I must add that I also installed a complete new core support at the same time. Everything went together like it should with no issues.

I had the apron installed and it fit well. One issue is why are there 2 large holes in the area where the battery shield attaches? I had to have these welded shut and grind smooth. The panel should either come with the 4 correct holes for the battery shield or none.

Fit well in my 65 mustang. Used the existing holes in the shock tower to line it up and had some measurements I had taken before cutting the old one out. Only modification I had to do was add some extra stock to one of the flanges that mates to the radiator support. It was too short compared to the stock apron so I could not weld it to anything.

The service from NPD was phenomenal. I could not find parts anywhere else but NPD had it. Once received, the part appears to be of very good quality with thick steel. I would definitely recommend this to others.

As is common, the battery tray and the inner fender panel were eaten up by rust in my '66. This panel is very well made, well painted, and a perfect fit. NPD service is second to none.
