IGNITION SWITCH

Product as described. Issue: Switch was in pieces on arrival...weak housing, suspect. I don't return these small Items, JUST won't buy from NON inspection source, again! Thanks

It sounds as though the pot-metal housing was not adequately "peened" to the plastic switch. This is not common, but it does happen occasionally, with dash switches. Please rest assured that we stand behind what we sell, and a free replacement switch is on the way to you.

The assembly worked fine but a professional locksmith was unable to rekey the new tumbler to the old key because the opening was a little too narrow for the old Ford key. We removed the new tumbler and inserted the one from the old switch.

This is complete junk. The back is not secure and it fell apart in installation. If you compare with stock part you will see where Ford completely crimped the back on and this aftermarket part they only do in a couple of places.

Please call the NPD that you received the switch from directly, and they will happily ship you a pre-inspected replacement. We have seen this as an occasional (not the norm) problem, and apologize.

This is an updated review of this switch assembly that I installed just over 2 months ago. While messing with some wiring behind the dash, the plastic end of the assembly fell off. This is a fire hazard. Like others have said, there is a problem with this assembly staying together. NPD please find a new supplier for this part.

The switch broke into when I tried to install it. First red flag was a hand written "Good" on the box which probably meant it was returned and restocked. Wasn't worth the hassle to return and pay postage. I went to NAPA and got a good switch.

This switch fell apart like everybody else is sayingI Was messing around with some wires in the back of the dash trying to get my dash back together from the previous switch falling apart .Must have been one of these switch causing my whole harness to short out. STAY AWAY !!!!!!
