This Dyna-module is designed by them to have increased electronic dwell time to provide you with more coil saturation. This extra dwell time allows the coil to produce a more intense spark. They are designed to mount in the factory location to make installation easy.

NPD provides two modules. One for manual and one for automatic. They are both marked to tell the difference. I put in the new auto module to replace the old dyna module and it stumbled during acceleration. I made it back to the house and put the old dyna module back in. I verified that the module I used was marked as the automatic version. I guess just a bad part.
