I bought the following parts together: RH Hinge (16796-1B) LH Hinge (16797-1B) Spring (16789-1B) These hinges are a huge improvement over what I have used previously in another project. The body shop put them on while they were test fitting the hood with the fenders. When I opened the hood, I was shocked at how easily it lifted all the way and stayed up. It was a night and day difference vs my other project with lower grade hinges. The lower quality hinges would take effort to move the hood up. These take minimal effort and the hood moves smoothly. Additionally, you can easily see the difference in the thickness of the hinges. Just picking them up you can tell they are a much heavier implementation than original or other reproductions. I like these so much, I may even go back and replace my hinges on my 67 project.

My hood did not align with the cowl. It sat high due to wear in the hood hinge pivot points. The new hinges were stronger built and eliminated the hood alignment problems.
