Starting in 1977 some Chevy or GMC trucks might have come equipped with the inside hood release option. This unit is designed to be used on 1977-1980 Chevy or GMC trucks that did not feature the inside hood release option. If your original truck did have the inside hood release option NPD has you covered. See NPD part number K-16332-77D for correct unit.
