Extended length tubes extend into engine compartment making installation and removal of the heater box much simpler. 9 wide x 5 15/16 tall x 1 11/16 thick overall plus tubes. Does not include 18500 end seals which will NOT fit this replacement aluminum core. Ends seals will need to be fabricated.
Aluminum radiators and heater cores require coolant replacement at least every 24 months or 30,000 miles to maintain the necessary silicate levels that prevent corrosion. **

Very nice quality. Easy install. Ford should have used this design from the get-go.

I have yet to install this heater core, however, it looks to be sturdy and well constructed. I like the extended tubes allowing me to more easily remove the core. I've owned my '68 Mustang for its entire life, so I'm very well versed with changing out this unit. It's always a pain in the ass.

Good replacement and the extended tubes makes it easier to install than the stock/OEM version. Been 6 months and no leaks and works great. Heater blows HOT. Since I was in there (heater core area), I also purchased the gasket kit for the vents and refreshed those ("when in Rome" HAHAHA!!)

I have installed this in my heater box and it rattles around quite a bit. The factory rubber end caps don't fit according to the description. Any suggestions on what to put in the heater box to support it? I also feel that some rubber hoses should be put over the long tubes where they protrude through the firewall to prevent metal to metal contact. The longer tubes are a great idea. Too bad that there aren't any factory type cores that are made of copper/brass that have this feature and work with the factory end caps..
