Mr. VacuumMan at Critter Creek Cougar Restorations LTD remanufactures the 1967 Vacuum Solenoid to as new condition. Every part is cleaned, examined and made to look as new. The metal parts are restored with the correct clear zinc finish, plastic parts are cleaned and polished, rubber parts are replaced with better than new high quality pieces and new gaskets installed. The early 1967 Cougars used Delrin for the override switch. Late 1967’s plastic was substituted which was less flexible. The remanufactured Solenoid will come with a Delrin override switch. The replacement diaphragm will never go bad. The magnetos are thoroughly tested and cleaned and the springs are replaced. The remanufactured units come with a ground wire as those without were far more prone to short and fail.
Cores are very important as these are NOT reproduced.
Never connect unit to 12v direct, use the source from the harness only or the magneto will fry and void warranty.

While I know the part is listed for a 67 Cougar it is the same part as the 67 Thunderbird, so it worked perfectly. My concealed headlight doors work properly again.
