Slightly smaller than the original so there is some movement when installed in the body. A noticeable ring revealing the old paint color is visible on my truck since the diameter is about 3/32" smaller. For a restoration where the whole body has been painted, it won't be a problem. It doesn't slip around once the filler neck is attached to the tank.
