Poor case of a reproduction, very flimsy and very thin material used. NPD should get a better quality grille even though they would have to go up on price, people would pay for quality products! Go made in the USA!

These grilles are a difficult issue, because of the way the reproduction tooling was originally built and the strength of the material it can handle. Re-tooling for a sturdier grille is something we have strongly asked for, but the expense is so enormous (you would not pay a "little" more, it would be "a lot" more) the factories continue to resist, fearing it would not be commercially viable. U.S. manufacturer?? We'd love to do that!! If only it was that easy David. Most U.S. stampers want absolutely NOTHING to do with the classic parts industry, instead they keep their presses running for higher-volume contracts, stuff that is produced in the tens-of-thousands.
