Sold for 65/66 this is actually a 67 piece as described on the website. To fit it on a earlier car the front and side edges have to be trimmed and the upper corners flattened. Once that was done it fit perfectly! The only other modification is the wiper motor mounting bracket. The holes are about 1/2 closer together on the 67 cowl. This requires drilling 2 new holes in the wiper mounting bracket. It only takes a minute then the bracket fits fine. Overall a great piece. Much better than trying to fix just the ends of on old rusted cowl.

Wiper motor bracket was not correct for 65. Required cutting old bracket, using the bottom half of old bracket only. Top section was extruded on the new panel so complete bracket like original would not fit. Openings for wiper shafts were too small, required drilling to 1” to allow shaft to come through. Vent shut off studs were positioned in wrong area and there were 2 more than original. The outer fit was acceptable, although some trimming was required and expected. I thought that there should have been notation concerning bracket problem, wiper shaft hole needing to be bigger, and what to do with threaded studs on vent assembly attachment point.

Great piece! I used this on my 66 coupe. I didn't measure the thickness but it feels heavier than my original piece which is a good thing. I cut the extra brackets off on the back. Not sure if that step is needed but just in case they got in the way of something I took them off. Like others said I had to trim the sides and front to fit. No big deal. And had to weld up the 2 holes on my wiper motor bracket and drill new ones to fit the spacing on this piece which I knew going in I had to do. And another review mentioned enlarging the holes for the wiper pivots to come through. I didn't have to do that. Mine fit right through. I am very pleased with this piece.
