This sending unit is by far the best I have found, and much cheaper than more expensive ones. It is very accurate and close to the non-linear OEM sending units readings. Want it even closer then install a 47 ohm resistor between the fuel gauge + and it's ground. Mine is now accurate at 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and Full.

Very disappointed. I had to drain the fuel from my tank (which I knew I would have to do) I installed the new sending unit and filled my tank and the new sending unit is defective, A full tank shows a half tank. So I replaced the gauge itself still shows a half tank. Lesson learned, the best price is not always the best solution, now I have to repeat the process.

For anyone using an early Mustang fuel tank in another application this sending unit has proved very accurate. I am using a 16 gallon Mustang tank in a 51 Chevy pickup with Classic Instruments 10-73 ohm gauge and with this sending unit my gauge reads "spot on". I am reading full when the tank is full and have about a 1.5-2 gallon reserve when its reads empty. Movement on the dial is smooth and steady. Was considering other more expensive units thinking the higher the cost-the better the quality, not the case here. Couldn't be happier with this purchase!

Mixed review here. The first one NPD sent was defective, no gauge reading and no reading with meter. Their customer service was great. Had new replacement in 2 days. This one works well, and accurate. Training your gas tank twice sucks any way you look at it, but at least it’s fixed. Price was definitely good.

This sucks like other aftermarket senders. Verified that it read 70 ohms when installed on empty tank. In use when tank reads only 1/8 remaining, it is in fact only 1/2 empty. On the bright side it is cheap.

Unit did not work out of the box. Called customer service number. Was told since I ordered online, from this website to return or exchange it I was to send the unit back at my expense with a copy of my invoice and a note letting them know if I want a refund or if I want another unit. The most cumbersome return/exchange policy I have seen.

This sender would not read proper, was designed a little different, and the float arm was shorter, used the float and filter sock and put on my old sender back in new tank. Didn't have time to send back and try another.

I came to NPD after ordering this part from a competitor. After almost 2 months and never getting my part I reached out to NPD, who had one in stock. When it arrived it had a manufacture defect. I called and explained the issue and they sent me another one out that day! I had it at my door in 1.5 days and it works just as it should. So yes I recommend this product, but I also recommend NPD for their excellent customer service.

I have two of these. Testing the ohm readings they are equal from one unit to the next. It may take some bending of the arm to get it to read the full range which is typical for any aftermarket sending units. 3 stars in that the odds are against this, or any, non factory sending unit going in and working without adjustment are low.
