The thumb release on this gas cap doesn't work very well. The slightest vibration and the cap pops open. I wound up scavenging the the catch from my old cap and installing it in this cap. My new cap now has a pitted release because the plater wants $50 minimum.

Not bad if you unscrew the cap side and make sure it is slid all the way up, then screw down with Loctite. Needs better chrome. Def repro product.
