If you are looking to take your restoration to the next level then picking up a set of these front fender to cowl side panel sound absorber from NPD is just what you are looking for. This NPD exclusive part is designed to fill in the space between your front fender and the side of the cowl panel area. This part is also commonly referred to as the door jam insulation as this part also acts as the filler when looking into the door jam area towards the engine compartment. These panel not only act as the filler but were installed to help reduce engine noise and act as a sound absorber for debris that would hit the fender liners when driving down the road. These units are based of the original D9ZZ-16071-A & D9ZZ-16072-A part numbers and have the same shape and installation as original. Each set includes a driver and passenger side sound absorber and is designed to do one Foxbody. So if your originals have seen better days or are missing, or your are looking to replace or working on the front fender area picking up a set of these units from NPD will get you back in factory working order!
Restoration Note:
These units feature the same shape and installation as original but are not press formed like the factory units. These units are die cut to the proper shape and have a similar thickness to them. NPD has test fitted these units a they fit just like the factory units.
Installation Note:
These units are installed using a factory style push pin. If your original pins have seen better days NPD has you covered! See part number M-16071-1K for correct style mounting hardware for these units
