This unit features the Ford Performance part number M-11000-C50 and is designed to fit your 1996 -2010 4.6L, 2011-2023 5.0L, 2007-2012 5.4L or 2013-2014 5.8L Mustang engines. It is designed to replace your original factory starter or other aftermarket units. This starter kit includes (1) mini high torque starter, (1) power cable and mounting hardware. This unit is not only smaller than the factory unit but also stronger and weighs approximately 6lbs making it a great unit for high compression high horsepower engines. Installation Note:
This starter kit from Ford Performance is designed to work with most Manual Transmission as well as 4R70W and 6R80 Automatic Transmissions. It is designed to work on Mod Motor or Coyote Swap applications for 1979-2010 Mustangs and is not a direct replacement for those swaps.
The mounting hardware included in this kit may be different than your original starter mounting hardware and may require you to reuse you original hardware for proper mounting.
Note:
This unit is also not designed to be used with 10R80 Automatic Transmissions and requires a different unit. See NPD part number M-11002-315FR for correct 10R80 starter kit.
