This aluminum driveshaft features the Ford Performance part number M-4602-JA and is designed to be a direct fit for your 1996-2004 Mustang & 1996-98 4.6 L Cobra all with manual transmissions. This Ford Performance Mustang Aluminum Driveshaft is made from high strength 3.5" diameter 0.114" wall thickness 6061-RT62 aluminum seamless drawn tube. It is fitted with heavy duty 1330 U-joints and includes the correct SN95 slip yoke and axle flange need for easy installation. This unit also features the correct 31 spline yoke that was originally used. Installation Note:
If you are looking to swap a tremec TKO, TKO500, TKO600 or the TKX series transmissions in your 1979-1995 Mustang with a 5.0L or 5.8L engine this is the driveshaft needed. (94-95 Mustangs need M-4603-1A spacer)
For 1979-1995 Mustang/Capri 5.0L vehicles with T5/SROD/C-4/AOD. and 1979-1993 Mustang/Capri 5.0L with Tremec transmissions w/28 spline yoke please seeM-4602-GA / NPD part number M-4602-42A. Please note that this unit will not fit 1999-2004 Cobra models with IRS rear suspension.
