This axle installation kit features the Ford Performance part number M-4050-B and is designed to work for 1979-2004 Mustangs with 7.5 or 8.8 inch rear axles. This kit was originally designed for installing new rear axle assemblies or when swap out old axle housings. This kit includes (2) OE style rubber upper axle busings, (2) axle c-clips and (1) 4oz bottle of friction modifier. So, if you are looking to install a new axle housing or looking to swap from your 7.5 rear axle to a new 8.8 rear axle picking up one of these kits from NPD will get you started in the right direction!
Installation Note:
This kit is designed to be used with straight or solid 7.5 or 8.8 rear axles. This kit will not fit cars equipped with IRS rear differentials
