This 31 spline traction-lok differential features the Ford Performance part number M-4204-F318C and is designed to work for 1986 thru 2014 Mustangs with a 8.8 inch rear with 31 spline axles. This limited slip differential features carbon fiber clutch plates for increased durability. This unit was original equipment on 2003-04 Mustang Cobra models. This unit is a great upgrade when looking to install 31 spline axles into your Fox, SN95 or S197 Mustang. Installation Note:

This unit differential is designed to accept anti-lock exciter brake ring and will require the use of 31 spline axles.

Ford Performance requires 4-ounces of friction modifier to be used with initial fill. See NPD part number F-19546-1 for correct CM-19546-A1 part number. NPD also offers a full line of high quality Motorcraft gear oil to go with this correct friction modifier needed to get you back on the road.
