Description

SPACER, CRANKSHAFT PULLEY, FORD PERFORMANCE, M-8510-A351, 0.350 INCHES THICK, DESIGNED TO BE USED WITH FORD PERFORMANCE CRANKSHAFT DAMPERS TO ACHIEVE PROPER BELT ALIGNMENT

The Ford Performance harmonic balancer (M-8510-A351) is a must-have accessory for late model 302 and 351 Windsor engine owners looking to ensure proper pulley alignment. Made from machined billet aluminum for added strength and durability, this 0.350" thick spacer provides the necessary clearance to resolve issues with engine vibration, frequent belt replacement, or accessory drive problems.

Installation Note:

Early 3-bolt crank pulleys generally bolt directly to the damper with flanged pulley pilot (damper is drilled for 3- and 4-bolt patterns). Pulley alignment should be checked and any misalignment corrected with the proper thickness spacer.

Installation of the crank pulley spacer will require longer bolts. Use Grade 5 or better bolts with blue Loctite thread sealer (or equivalent).Check pulley sheave alignment between crank and accessory pulleys with a straight edge. Production tolerances and small variations in pulley sheave offset over the years may require some trimming of the spacer to achieve good alignment with the existing pulleys

If the spacer is much too short or too long, you need a different spacer. Currently available spacers from Ford Performance are available.

NPD offers the complete line of crankshaft pulley spacers to fit your installation needs
