This was the closest to the original I could find for a reasonable price. This visible side of this pad looks very much like the original when installed, is a little thinner than the original but the insulation seems denser and better. It was cut and punched well but not perfectly, and does not include the attaching pegs.

Firewall insulation arrived in a timely manner and appears to be of good quality. I rebuilt the car years ago and never installed firewall insulation so I am sure it will make a huge difference in passenger comfort. What would make this awesome would be to offer plastic fasteners to hold it to the firewall.

I am giving this rating because some might not know how to use fabric adhesive (type glues) to join the rubber and felt stuff together, for a permanent bond. I have had it laying out since I opened the package. The top layer is separating away from the bottom. Considering the wrangling one has to do to this during install, it could present a problem. I’m sure the more expensive one is way better. One gets what the pay for? This is not a hit on NPD. NPD gets the third star.

Fits pretty good, needed some mods, par for reproduction. Can not imagine one costing much more to fit any better. A little adhesive helps to shape it a little better.
