Each unit features the correct mounting bracket to mount to the intake manifold bolt as well as all the correct fittings for both installation and proper sensor install. This 5.0L Cobra style unit also deletes the EGR coolant connector to give you that OEM look. To ensure long lasting function each unit is pressure tested to be sure there are no leaks. So if your original unit has seen better days, look at picking up one of these units from NPD today!
Restoration Note:
The 1993 Mustang Cobra unit did not feature the EGR coolant connector that was used on the standard 5.0L Mustang. Ford offered two different part number E6ZZ-9D424-B (5.0L) & F3ZZ-9D424-A (Cobra). NPD offers the correct 5.0L style with coolant connector under part number M-9D424-2A.
Installation Note:
This unit is designed to screw into the top section of the lower intake manifold. The only other mounting for this unit was a special style nut used on top of the lower intake manifold mounting stud. NPD offers this correct mounting nut under part number M-9D424-2AK.
Note:
This unit can be used on any 1986 thru 1993 Mustang 5.0L engines when the EGR coolant connector is not needed. This give the engine compartment a much cleaner look. This has been a common upgrade for Non Cobra owner for some time.
