Is a (bleep) rebuilding the hinge with the spring if you don’t have the right tools (like me), but doable with persistence and creativity... The kit looks like it will do the job, time will tell. The pins, shafts and roller metal are hardened. All appears to be as good as original.

Kit was fine. I had to sand/file down the nibs on the pins (not the hinge pins) to get the diameter down a tad. I used a large flat head screwdriver to push the new spring into place. Hinges are like new now. Didn't realize how much play I had in the the driver's door prior.

The brass bushings are 1/2 the length of the original bushing. They will wear out quickly -

The brass bushings are half the length and thickness of the OEM bushings. They will wear out quickly and your doors will sag. Other kits on the market have the correct bushings.

1. Please limit your reviews to one per-item, and do not post redundant reviews. 2. We have been selling these same bushings, in various kits (sourced from suppliers, and also assembled here in-house) for the entire 47 years of our existence. 3. I cannot find any other kits on the market with taller bushings. 4. We have these bushings, NOS Genuine Ford, in our private NOS "stash" here at NPD, Ford # C3AZ-5422841-A, and they are dimensionally identical to the bushings in this kit. 5. These bushings are also used in the convertible top, and I never recall seeing a taller-type bushing in a top frame assembly either.
Bottom-line, I can't find anything here, or online, that substantiates the notion that taller bushings were originally used. That's not to say that Ford's supplier MAY have used some in a pinch to keep the production rolling along. Furthermore, I think you'd have to drive the car for another 60,000 miles with plenty of door open/shut to ever wear the suckers out again. Been doing this all my life, and have never heard of "premature bushing wear" from any of these kits.
