Poor design, Taiwan is using very thin metal and not doing it very well. Spend more and get better quality.

This part fit fine on my 66 coupe, the metal is not quite as thick, but I knew this. I wanted the lighter unit since it was going on a race car. For the price it was OK, would not use for a high end restoration, but for my purposes and for a driver it was OK. Its pretty much covered by the front bumper anyway.
