This is difficult as I’m not 100% sure the detachment and loss of the first decal I purchased and attached to the carburetor was my fault or an issue of the adhesive used not being resistant to heat from the engine. The first time I used a paint prep solvent to remove any surface contaminants, allowed 5 minutes for the solvent to evaporate before affixing the decal. It looked great after the installation. It was a couple of day later before I drove the car. I don’t know when the decal fell off as it was maybe a month later when I noticed it missing when I removed the air cleaner to install the proper choke heat transfer plumbing. So, trying this once again, adding a slight burnishing using steel wool before cleaning the filter with the solvent.
