Finally found correct button to release mechanism to install in glove box. The guts of unit would not go back in same way it came out and was destroyed. I had to order another one and @ $9 shipping for each I am gonna look for some special instructions to take apart and reinstall.

WORKED EXCELLENT...SPRING WAS INSTALLED BACKWARD WHEN RECIEVED... ONCE FIGURED OUT WORKED FINE. NEW LOCK KEPT THE GLOVE BOX FROM POPPING OPEN OVER ROUGH ROADS

Fit perfectly, looks just like OEM. The only problem is now I have 3 keys for my Chevelle. But I never lock the glovebox so I just threw the keys inside.
