4 hold downs. This unbreakable Lexan cover quickly and easily fastens over the cowl by twisting a dzus-type knob through the grilles. The knob is specially designed 1 piece aluminum with a knurled surface for easier gripping. A high-density foam seal conforms to the metal. No other cover on the market is made this well. Cool idea but the hold-down pins are too wide and scratch the paint when inserting between the cowl grooves. Not recommended without modification. See the magnetic one offered as a better alternative.

I just
test-installed one of these cowl covers on a 1965 Mustang in our collection
with 1,300 original miles and original paint. My observation is that there is AMPLE
room between the slats in the cowl to safely install. I wasn’t
even perfectly centered, but I still had plenty of daylight on both sides of
the shaft. My only guess/theory is that your car has had multiple repaints,
without stripping old paint, such that the gap has closed so much there’s not
enough room to safely install this cover.

Excellent fit to the cowl to keep out the rain. I still prefer the former style with the hold-downs that used a coin to close and were flush with the surface, rather than the raised knobs of the current style.
