COVER, Grille Molding Lower Joint, best repro, includes sheet nut, Be careful installing the sheet nut on to the stud, The self threading aspect puts stress on the pin and over torquing can shear the pin, Pre-threading the nut off the car can help alleviate the potential problem, This situation also plagued original covers

The plastic pins separate from the cover. I’ve seen several broken ones at shows as well. I was able to use two of the special molding screws that also broke during installation. When the molding screw retainer breaks off you are left with an 8x32 perfectly flush head machine screw. Installed in the cover they allow you to clamp down much better and are nearly invisible after the part is painted.

Like everyone else, the 2 plastic pins broke off while installing it. I was able to use screws to finish the install.

I had the same issue with the pins pulling away from the trim piece as others have described. I even made sure that I was holding them in place while trying to pre-thread the sheet nuts. I'm sure it can be done if you take extreme care and are patient with it. Otherwise, the finish looked good and it fit as expected.
