I ordered this to replace the original timing cover from the original 396 engine from my 1968 Chevelle. Unfortunately I sent it back and exchanged it for another one that already had the seal installed. I spent an hour and a half trying to get the seal in the 1st cover without damaging the cover or seal. Came to the conclusion the recess for the seal wasn't round and I would never get the seal in. Carl at NPD found another cover that had the seal in it so agreed to exchange. Couldn't have been easier to exchange.
