Cooling Fan, 5 Blade

Upgraded from the stock OEM 4 blade on my 65 Fastback with 289 A-Code for improved airflow at idle. Considered a fan shroud but wanted to maintain the stock period correct look as best I could in the engine compartment and this fan fit the bill. Unless you are a MCA judge, you would never know this fan is not stock.

I installed this on a 1969 351W w/ AC. It worked great with the 24" fan shroud. I like it over the original "flex" design, which were prone to cracks. It is not a concourse part but I like the stock appearance on my daily driver.

The blade I received had dents and scratches on all the blades. I had to file some of the edges to smooth out the dents and repaint before installing on my car.

I checked inventory on the shelves, and it appears that these fans must be "bulk-packed" from the manufacturer, and are not protected from one another. I do not see anything that I would categorize as a "dent", but there are a few (very small) areas where paint has indeed chipped-away on the edges. For a driver, it's a bolt-on fan. For show, yes, a bit of smoothing and fresh paint is in order.

It arrived poking through the box, but survived the trip. Had to tweak it a bit here and there and it was chipped and scratched, but not going on a concourse. Fits well with my fan adapter for the 3 row and surprisingly quieter than I expected. I’d buy again but like to see the shipping methods improve.

Not sure what's going on here, but this is an accurate/precise reproduction of the correct 1965-1970 non-clutch fan. "Too big" indicates issues that are not the fault of the fan.

I call my Mustang an orphan car because previous owners put whatever they had on it to pass it on to the next guy. The fan was too large and nearly clipped the lower hose and clamp. I don't trust used fans at 7500 rpm so this was the choice. Looks good and now a shroud will fit whenever they become available. Very happy with the purchase.
