New replacement style but looks like an original Ford unit. Brass block with 2 stud mounting bracket. Includes a low brake pressure switch. Works only with disc/drum systems. Has 3/8-24 brake warning switch threads. Factory disc brake cars already have some sort of a combo valve whether it is single unit or a separate distribution block and proportioning valve. Our valves are offered as a replacement to your tired original valve or for use on conversions from drum to disc brake systems. These are not original Ford units although they do look like some original units and these will require bending new brake lines to fit. An installation diagram is available on our website. Non-adjustable. Accepts 3/16 hard lines, 2 inlet and 3 outlet ports. OE styled. A great choice for converting 65-66 Mustang single bowl disc master cylinder to disc dual bowl and other uses as well.
** NOTE: The bracket is coming through on both sides, Unfortunately we cannot control which version they send to us. **

I bought this as a replacement for the original on my 1970 BOSS 302. The one I received is exactly the same as the original. Fits perfectly.

By the description, I thought I was getting a unit that was very close to original. I chose it because it had the same factory plug in for the switch so I wouldn't have to change that out. Appearance was perfect and switch was correct but it leaked like a sieve! Thought it was my flares so i re-worked all my flares and still leaked from two ports. Was NOT happy. Purchased a new and different model from Summit at almost half the cost and it worked perfectly.

Valve comes in two pieces. One valve & one mounting bracket. The bracket should come already installed on the valve. The valve was damaged in a attempt to install bracket

This valve is of average quality. The flared ports may leak unless new brake lines are used or sealer is applied. I had 3 that sealed and 2 that didn't. Sealer ordinarily should not be required on a flared fitting. The mounting bracket is not attached to the valve and should be, as it is a pressed fit from the factory. Trying to press it will likely damage the valve. I have a press and it broke the key before expanding it. JB weld will hold it by allowing it to flow up and through the center of the bracket and then adding more on top of the bracket. After 24 hours it will hold.

I bought this product for 71-73 mustang. 71-73 mustang owners MUST DO these additional jobs before installation. (1)Bracket is mounted opposite side. Remove bracket from valve, must brake crimping then. And set it at correct side. (2)Remove burry. There is burry in thread, check all thread before install. (3)tighten 5/8inch nut at top fluid leaks from nut at top. Tightening is not enough at manufacturer. (4)Diagram is not correct for 71-73 mustang. Refer actual connections. Eventually this valve can use, but must do many preparation before install.

I have a 1972 Mustang. When part was installed it leaked very badly and the brake switch was on the opposite side. I hade to send the part back and I ordered a rebuild kit for the original part and work great now.

It’s a hard to find part. The bracket has to be removed it was facing the wrong way for my application and the bottom hole needed a reducer available through Napa. Overall very positive

Description is 100 % deceiving. This item does not fit Ford's at all starting from stupid bracket to every single port is wrong size and in wrong place. DO

We
are sorry that you are dissatisfied with the product. But we strongly reject
your assertion that our description is “deceiving”. In fact, I have to wonder
if you ever read the description. For all potential buyers reading this review, please scroll-up and read the full description. All concerns are clearly covered and forewarned
within the product description, including the fact that new appropriate lines
must be bent/fabbed, and that the bracket may need to be moved. Also, instruction sheets are also linked above. Finding a
correct “plug and play” combo valve, will prove to be challenging.

I AM AN ORIGINAL OWNER OF A 1970 MACH 1. IT IS EQUIPED WITH A 351-C, 4V, 4 SPEED, FRONT POWER DISK BRAKES AND REAR DRUMS (ALL FACTORY INSTALLED). THE MOUNTING BRACKET ON THIS ITEM IS INSTALLED ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE ITEM. I WILL HAVE TO REMOVE THE BRACKET AND RE-INSTALL ON THE OTHERSIDE FOR IT TO FIT MY 1970 MACH 1. I KNEW THIS WAS GOING TO BE INSTALLED ON THE WRONG SIDE FOR MY CAR AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO REMOVE THE BRACKET AND RE-INSTALL IT.

One port leaks, and the fittings don't translate over from stock. Brake lines are: Two 7/16 (rear) and Three 3/8 (front). This should have been in the description.
