Custom designed specifically for coil springs located on top of the control arm and inside a shock tower. An inside the spring compressor is easy to use and very safe when handled properly. This compressor is made from the finest materials available for this application and is made from the strongest materials possible. The body of this tool is made from 3/4 inch extra heavy schedule 80 pressure tested A53 pipe and 3/4 inch ACME threaded rod with an EXTRA heavy ACME nut with washer. The lower plate is CNC laser cut for a perfect fit and MIG welded to the body for superior strength. The upper plate used for Mustang and Cougar applications is also CNC laser cut. All other hardware is Grade 8 (hardened to 120,000 psi tensile strength). As an added benefit, our version of this compressor includes an upper thrust bearing that makes operating the compressor easier and smoother. A truly bullet proof design. These are hand built and welded by an ASME certified welder, hand inspected for quality and painted.
Installs in place of the shock absorber. Make sure the vehicle is properly supported. Do not use any powered means to tighten or loosen the nut. Turn by hand only.
ASSEMBLY NOTE: The flat washer fits between the bearing and the nut. also it helps to grease the threads of the shaft before use. Instructions can be downloaded from our website listing.

The spring compressor worked well but it should be shipped with some use instructions. Once I greased the screw shaft it worked much better. Unfortunately there was some wear damage to the shaft. It is probably reliablely functional but the damage could have been avoided if some pre usage info had been shipped with the spring compressor.

Absolutely everything I expected. Removes all the danger in removing the front suspension of my 69 Mach. I found it easy to use . I would never again attempt front spring removal on this type of suspension with out it. The only thing I would suggest is a note with a simple set of usage instructions for a novice , I personally didn't need the instructions . but I can see that a person that hasn't tackled this job before would possibly be a little unsure of how to position it in the suspension.

This is worth its weight in gold. Highly recommend this one. Made to job so easy and less SKETCHY! Wish I had it in the beginning. As others have mentioned. There are now instructions and common sense and knowledge is required.

This coil spring compressor is the absolute best and safest spring compressor I have used. It does take a little time to get the spring perch bolts to UCA to line-up, but there is no fear of the spring flying out while you move things around. After the first spring install on the drivers side, I said to myself, “well worth the price!”. If your hobby or job involves having to remove and install these coil springs, do yourself a huge favor and get this extremely safe spring compressor. 1969 Mach 1, 428 CJ

Was easy to use and well made. After several attempts using my other compressor with no luck purchased this one. Was far easier to compress the spring and less dangerous. Only issue was lining up the saddle to the upper control arm mounting holes. Took a couple of tries by turning the saddle some each time and using rotating saddles.

This is clearly a well designed and well constructed product. Because of the risk ans danger involved in using a tool to compress, a strong spring, one needs to have confidence in their compressor. I believe this tool will give you that confidence and ishighly recommended. A+++ Steve.Meltzer

I did a lot of research on spring tools for safely removing the coil springs on my 65 Stang. This tool appears to be the best option for safely removing the springs. A bit more expensive than others. I haven’t used it yet, but it looks very good quality. I give it 4 stars because of the price.

This tool felt, by far, the safest way to remove the coil spring. I recommend also removing the inner shock/spring cover plate to make accessing the spring easier when you remove it. A solid, well built product.
