Inside the spring compressor is easy to use and very safe when handled properly. Better than most compressors of the same style because of this compressors chrome moly steel jaws. Includes plastic storage box with instructions. From personal use on Mustang and Cougar I have found that because of the long universal nature of this compressor, you will probably want to add in a stack of suitably sized washers between the nut on the threaded shaft and the steel jaw. This shortens the draw length to where you can more easily move the spring in and out of the saddle and tight shock tower confines.
