You'd think buying floormats would be easy, but it has been my most frustrating purchase from NPD ever. They have a branch nearby and I shop there frequently. I have a 1991 Eddie Bauer Bronco with plain old brown carpeting and the original Eddie Bauer marked floormats. The rubber nubs have worn off the back side and twice they slid up and jammed the accelerator pedal down while it was being driven so new floor mats were a high priority. None were in stock so I consulted the catalog and figured that "Lt Saddle(Mocha)" #9197 would be brown...it showed up and wasn't. Then I ordered "Taupe or Chestnut" #821...it wasn't brown either. The color descriptions in the catalog are useless. The counter guy then produced a sample chain of color and material swatches and after studying them realized that plain old brown is not offered for the 87-96 Broncos, according to the catalog. Seems odd because Eddie Bauers with brown carpet were/are super common. Then I figured that if no color comes anywhere near matching, I'd just go and make due with a contrasting color of "Dk Graphite Gray" #7701 which is offered for the 87-96 Broncos. So when they showed up I went to lay them in I was disappointed to see that they were huge compared to the originals and wouldn't fit in properly. The drivers side jammed the pedals making them as unsafe as the old ones I was trying to replace. I compared the general shape of my originals to the mats I got and also to the images in the catalog and saw that my original 1991 drivers mat looked similar to the 78-86 passenger mat catalog image and my original 1991 passenger mat looked similar to the 87-96 driver mat catalog image. In short, these expensive mats are useless. The color descriptions are useless. All the catalog images and info are useless. The whole ACC/NPD floormat product line should be scrapped and redone properly. The quality of the materials is fine, but if you cant use them, what's the point? I'll be returning them for a refund and just buy some generic "made in china" rubber ones from the local parts store for a fraction of the price and be better off.

1. No, ACC does not have a dark brown to match what Ford originally offered, and no, Light Saddle or Taupe are not anything close to dark brown.
2. I took this mat set to a 1991 F150 in our collection (same front floor as Bronco), and found the fit to be quite nice. Exactly what you'd be looking for in a premium mat, with better coverage than the inadequate original Ford mats. I placed the LH mat properly in the driver's side, and it went up the tranny tunnel a bit (which is nice), contoured around the gas pedal (nice), went up the toe-board behind the brake pedal (nice), jogged around the dimmer switch (nice), and reached right out to the scuff plate (nice). All I can figure is that this reviewer was swapping LH and RH sides.
