Color coordinated heel pad. Serge bound edges. Made from OEM grade materials. These carpets have a sturdy poly backing and are heat molded to follow the contours of the floor - just like the originals. Heel pads match the original when required. All exposed edges are serge bound in a matching thread duplicating the original carpet. The thread is also thicker than original at 16.5 denier compared to 14 denier for the original nylon. Most reproduction carpet colors are not exact matches to the original, Compromises had to be made due to the many variations of colors used over the years by all the automotive suppliers. It would be impossible to recreate each and every hue ever used. The best that can be expected is to come as close as possible with what is available. If you still have your original carpet you are welcome to send us a sample cut from a section hidden from the elements and not faded. A 2x2 inch cut is preferred. From that sample we will try to come up with a color that comes as close as possible.
