This relay to starter cable assembly is designed to be an exact reproduction of the original unit. It is based off the Original Ford part number E6SZ-14431-A. It includes the protective sleeve and features zinc plated brackets with a vinyl coated end just like the original units. The main job of the starter cable is to direct power from the battery to the starter to get your engine running. These cables can become brittle and corroded over time and can lead to harder starts or a no start condition. This cable will not only help with keep your Fox Mustang running properly but also help you in keeping the OE style restoration going.
Fitment Note: This cable is designed to be a exact replacement for the 1986-1991 Fox Mustangs that featured the larger style starter and that utilized the fender mounted starter relay solenoid to supply proper power.
Conversion Note: If you are looking to convert your 1986-1991 5.0L Fox Mustang to the 1992-1995 style starter that featured the PMGR or mini starter you will need to replace this cable with the 1992-1993 version NPD part number M-14431-12A.
