Ordered this speedometer cable to fit my 71 Mustang with AOD transmission. It is the correct part number for my application. The cable was the correct length and had the correct connections for attachment to the back of the speedometer and to the transmission. However, the inner cable was too large to fit into the gauge and into the driven gear that goes into the transmission. This cable was useless as it would not fit either the gauge or the gear. I was able to locate another speedometer cable from a local parts store which fit perfectly and was 1/3 the cost of the Scott Drake unit. It is extremely frustrating to pay a premium price for a product only to find it will not fit as advertised. This Scott Drake unit is junk and strongly recommend NOT buying this cable. It is overpriced and does not fit as advertised! Very disappointed. Will be returning it to NPD for a full refund.
