From the factory, the original bumper mounting hardware included small studs with a flimsy piece of steel that often bent. MRT has developed a sturdier replacement solution, these 1979-1993 Fox Mustang Fascia Mounting Kit. These mounting brackets replace your factory brackets and improve on the quality of the original pieces. Using a thicker gauge steel and longer studs for the brackets makes them more durable and easier to install.The kit includes five brackets total. Two brackets are used to mount the front bumper to the front fender panels. The rear bumper uses the remaining three: the smaller brackets connect the rear bumper to the rear quarter panels, while the longer bracket runs the length of the rear bumper.
