New production. Banded case halves. Less master cylinder. A nice reproduction of the Midland Ross booster. Exact fit. Great details except this unit is designed with a shorter push rod so the original spacer filter cannot be used between the booster and the master cylinder. The Midland Ross booster is a drop in replacement for the later Bendix style booster. The Bendix booster began appearing in 1968 and completely replaced the Midland Ross unit early to mid 69 production. 7 case diameter.

I bought this brake booster for my 1968 mercury cougar. I had a slight problem fitting it in to the fire wall. The new booster had a larger diameter hub compared to my old booster. I used a grinder to open up the whole where it bolts up ,and now the booster fits right in. No other issues ,so I am happy with this purchase and I am back on the road.

This is a nicely detailed unit. But please read the description carefully because it is designed to be used without the ventilated plate that mounts between the booster and the master cylinder. Since my car used the ventilated plate, the plunger rod that protrudes form this booster was too short. So I returned this item for a refund.
