One bolt, on the left side of the engine only engages three thread turns, while the hole is drilled all the way throught and tapped. Ended up pulling out my threads in timing cover. Had to retap and find a longer bolt

Worked perfect. I thought one of the top bolts was too long until I mounted my power steering bracket which required a longer bolt. This was on an early 68 289.

Nice part. I had to shorten 4 bolts because I have the early style aluminum pump. Be sure to understand which pump you have before you buy. You may need the other kit with shorter bolts.

GREAT Kit, with a helpful diagram sheet to help divine exactly where all of its many different screws install. Hope the metallurgy of this hardware remains as robust as it appear to be.
