Billet Steering Upgrade Column Saver Kit, w/ power steering conversions for (55-59)
Before collapsible steering columns were mandated for safety, many vehicles had one piece steering shafts that ran through the steering column directly to the steering box. When converting to power steering it is often necessary to cut the steering column down and modify it to accept a rag joint or universal joint. These billet column saver kits will allow you to support the steering shaft in the column body after its been cut down. Kit includes the sleeve, collar, and thrust bearing and washers for 1.75 inch diameter steering columns. Dimensions are measured on the outside of the outer column tube.
Note:
Works with floor shift applications only, will NOT work on most column shift applications.
