Verified Buyer Automatic Transmission Oil Pan

I will confirm what others have said that the casting is a bit off. On two sides the lip needs to be bent to make clearance for a socket to get positive engagement on the bolt. I bolted it finger tight and bent the flange to clear the socket. I used the trans to not deform any of the pan, just the flange. Then placed gasket and no leaks.

Nice pan. The construction appears to be the same as the original pan. I would use this in conjunction with the LUBE LOCKER gasket, and torque to only 3 ft-lbs to avoid dimpling the pan.

The pan is solid but the area where bolts attach (outside rim) is to close to the bolt holes, can’t get a socket to tighten boles.

Automatic Transmission Oil Pan

Just to confirm that the rolled edge is still too close to the bolt heads in some locations to permit positive engagement of a socket to the bolt head. I was able to get the bolts tight by using an open end wrench canted enough to clear the lip of the pan, and still have enough purchase to get them snug. Fortunately the torque spec is low enough to permit this approach.
