Fixed my problem. It's good to have a functional fuel gauge. Well made replacement!

Car: 1988 Mustang GT Symptom: Fuel gage stuck on empty Steps: replaced fuel gage sending unit. It did not resolve the issue. Bought this module and pulled gage cluster to install it. Installation was straight forward, no fitment issues, and it fixed the gas gage issue. This product was noticably less expensive than the ones I found for the 1990-93 cars.

Thing of beauty. This regulator does more than just stabilize the Fuel gauge. When you've got the dash out, make sure all the connections are clean and good, check the bulbs (194s, you can get them here) and make sure your printed circuit isn't corroding beneath the plastic. That can cause a high resistance circuit and lead to other issues.

Installing this part got my gas gauge functional again. As it has only been installed for a week, I cannot comment to its durability. Installation instructions recommend using a dab of dielectric grease. At the price of this part, it would have been nice to have a tiny tube of the grease included with the part.
