The spring was perfect, the instructions (or lack there of) were not. It took me longer than I would like to admit to figure out the placement of such an odd shaped spring. My original was found on the floor mat, broken in two pieces, so I could not use it for reference. One tip is the spring comes wound up around itself for smaller packaging. one you have it unwound, use a mirror to see behind the pedal, and maybe even unscrew the screw holding the pedal in and give the backside a look. The screw is a normal Phillips on the side near the brake pedal. A few turn and it slides out. Once you have it out, look at the wear pattern the previous spring made. It should indicate how the spring lays in there. Best of luck. get your pedal feeling perfect again, nobody like floppy pedals.
